SUMMARY
For nearly two years I worked in the senior design team at the hugely respected newspaper The Telegraph. My main responsibility was to lead the travel and events output across platforms such as in-paper activity, digital campaigns, apps, social and video content. This involved working closely with key stakeholders to assure brand consistency, engaging products for our readers and to generate subscriptions.
In-paper
The in-paper printed supplements were redesigned and aligned to follow the new look and feel of The Telegraph Travel branding.
Advertising
Travel run over 170 full page advertorials in-paper every year. This meant creating a series of templates that my team and external partners could use with ease to showcase the best of our travel editorial content to our readers.
Campaigns
The in-paper printed supplements were redesigned and aligned to follow the new look and feel of The Telegraph Travel branding.
Events
After setting up the travel system, I was then asked to take on the Events side of the business.
This included redesigning existing events and overhauling the current events website across all devices as shown here on the left.
Branding
Alignment
Previously the events did not have any clear grouping and were presented as indivdual bespoke events.
In order to make things clear to the reader, we decided to group the events and align them with our editorial offering for consistency.
Event Advertising
Below are a couple of advertising examples for the Whisky and Cocktail events. I commissioned and art-directed the photoshoot myself.
